Artist handover “Spellamin”
Hey everyone! I'm Amin, but you might know me as 'spellamin'.
Professionally, I've been in the graphic design space for 12 years, but art has been a lifelong passion. From the days of childhood sketches to the digital world, let me take you on my journey.
I happened to find my dad's sketchbook in 1998. It was more than just a book; it was an inspiration for my love of drawing. My dad, beyond being my biggest inspiration, showed me the universe of art through that single book.
My early days were all about freehand drawing. I then began creating art with Microsoft Paint and quickly switched to Photoshop. The digital world opened up, and I completely started to doing digital arts.
After my studies, my graphic design career began. This was the phase where I decided to reinvent and enhance my skills. Even with an 8-6 job, the artist in me never rested. Every free moment turned into an artistic exploration.
My art process involves sketching my ideas on paper first. Once the idea is set, I complete my artwork using programmes like Procreate, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro. It's a blend of traditional and modern methods.
There have been difficulties along the way. I tried using Instagram to sell and promote my artwork, but it wasn't very successful. Got to know about NFTs. And on July 14, 2021, I dropped my first NFT, which was another significant turning point in my path.
I convey my deep emotions and reflection through what I create. Having created more than 300 pieces, each one represents a journey and a study. The collaboration with the legendary @XCOPYART stands out as a milestone I'll never forget.
The art community, especially this space, has been a blessing. I've met many talented artists and wonderful collectors and made tons of friends. It's been surreal. A heartfelt thank you to all of my friends, supporters, and other artists on this creative journey!
